Lovely sized room with everything we needed. Bed was one of the most comfortable I’ve slept in and I am really fussy about beds and pillows. Quiet room with effective and easy to use air con. Fridge space for our own wine along with the mini bar, robes, slippers etc. Location great for centre of town and if you wanted to go to Fisherman’s Wharf then we recommend the cable car which you catch in Powell Street and which takes you to the port, you can also hop on and off it. We jumped off at Lombard St to see the bendy road and walked the rest of the way to the wharf. For breakfast we headed to Pinecrest diner just 2 mins walk from the hotel entrance. So good there was often a short queue, often the local police had their breakfast there so you know it’s going to be good. We also tried Cafe Mason which had great eggs Benedict but my hubby had really poor poached eggs and it was all a bit luke warm so definitely worth a small wait time to use Pinecrest instead. If you are eating in the local area just be mindful that some of Ellis Street near Tenderloin is best avoided tea time onwards, there are lots of homeless in this area accessing the soup kitchen so is an area where larger groups are found. Like most cities there are people asking for money but in our experience they were polite and jokey and only asked once and didn’t present any problems to us.

We had a super nice corner room with great views over the city. The rooms are modern, well equipped and with a very comfy bed. The Bathroom is large and modern. We enjoyed a great dinner in the restaurant of the hotel, called ANZU. We recommend to try. The personnel was very helpfull and accommodating. The pool and spa area looks great and at no extra costs, but unfortunately we did not find the time to make use of it. The location is great, because it is only a few steps away from Union square, the turnaround of the Powell & Market cable car and one of the stops of the hop-on/ hop-off is right in front of the hotel.

Checkin was friendly and efficient. The room, though not large, was clean, large bed, and nice furniture. Very good view of bay and San Francisco, just don’t look down. The gym was excellent, large, well equipped with both machines, smith machine, cables and lots of free weights. The pool area is nice, perhaps too shallow for a decent swim but a good space. Unfortunately even though they have designated adult only hours PEOPLE do not read. Better signage could help this. Breakfast buffet is fantastic, huge variety, quality and the waffles are fresh as if just cooked.

The reception staff were lovely. And the swimming pool was such a wonderful treat. The view from our room of the night fog was spectacular only to be bettered by the sunrise. The bathroom throne was a new experience :0) So many places are within walking distance, and we went on an hop-on/off open top bus tour from very nearby - which was sensational. The Faugust fog lifted and we saw the Golden Gate Bridge from a distance and as we crossed it. A great way to see Frisco in a limited time.

The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Also very convenient for my purposes. The staff were friendly and helpful. Just after I checked out I realized I had forgotten to pack two pairs of glasses. I called the hotel from the airport and the staff person called back to report they found the glasses. The hotel then sent them to me home and they arrived a few days later.
